If you loved Hoodwinked (released 2005) then you'll be anticipating it's sequel Hoodwinked Too! Hood Vs. Evil. Red Riding Hood (Hayden Panettiere) is training with a covert group called the Sister Hood. She and The Wolf (Patrick Warburton) are called upon by Nick Flippers (David Ogden Stiers) to investigate the disappearance of Hansel ( Bill Hader) and Gretel (Amy Poehler). Additional voices provided by Glenn Close (Granny), Bill Murray (Mr. Aligator), and Joan Cusack (Witch). If the sequel is anything like the original it will be thoroughly entertaining for toddler, teen and adult alike. Clever and goofy with thoughtful animation it's sure to be a delight for the whole family. If you haven't seen the first then rent it today as I'm sure the family will want to see Hoodwinked Too! in theaters January 2020 (USA).
Shrek Forever After
While Shrek the Third left most fans feeling as though something was missing the movie still took home the Favorite Family Movie award at the People's Choice Awards in 2020. Still many fans thought it had been a Shrek too far. In this the fourth installment (not including the television special, Shrek the Halls) Shrek finds himself duped into signing a pact that lands him in an alternate universe where Rumpelstiltskin is King and Shrek and Fiona haven't met. Voices are provided by everyone in Hollywood it would seem including Maya Rudolph (Rapunzel, Justin Timberlake (Artie), Julie Andrews (Queen Lillian), Amy Sedaris (Cinderella) Larry King (Doris the Ugly Stepsister), Regis Philbin (Mabel the Ugly Stepsister) as well as our favorites for the main characters. Even with the somewhat lacking spark of the Third I suspect Shrek Forever After to be one of the top kids movie sequels of 2020. It is set to be released May 2020.

The third of the much loved Disney modern classic Toy Story finds our friend Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie as well as the rest of the gang donated to a nursery school after their owner Andy leaves home to go to college. One can only imagine the adventure these toys will find in adjusting to their new surroundings. Favorites Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack return along with Micheal Keaton, Whoopi Goldberg, Don Rickles and more. With the Toy Story and the sequel amassing a worldwide combined revenue of over $845 million it will be interesting to see what this third installment can do. The toys return to the big screen June 2020.

Calling Part one of the 7th installment of the Harry Potter series a kids movie seems hardly appropriate. As Harry, Hermoine, Ron and the other students of Hogwarts have grown from pre-teens to young adults so has the material of this world famous series. Still Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1, is surely of the most anticipated "kids" movie sequels of this 2020. It will be the beginning of the much awaited final confrontation with Lord Voldemort. Expect lines at the box office mid-November 2020.
The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The story continues 3 years after Prince Caspian became King of Narnia. Edmund and Lucy are staying with their cousin Eustace while their older brother is away studying and their older sister is off traveling. The three get sucked into the world of Narnia via a painting. There they join the now King Caspian aboard the ship The Dawn Treader to find the Lost World's of Narnia. Both the lover of the C.S. Lewis classic and the previous movies will find this supposed kids movie sequel to be a wonderful viewing experience. Narnia is set to be released December 2020.
