Super Bowl Worthy Chicken Wing Recipes
What could possibly be better than chicken wings at a super bowl party? I can't think of a thing. New twists on an old favorite.
Jalepeno and Peach Chicken Wings
These wings are amazing you get the combination of the sweet and the spicy. You will need a blender to make the sauce that goes on the wing. This is good for about 4 pounds of chicken wings.
4 pounds of chicken wings
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ground black pepper
1 cup of canned peaches
1 jalapeno seeded
1 tablespoon of very finely minced jalapenos
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
Salt and pepper the wings, you can stick with the teaspoon or do it to your own taste. I personally use about a teaspoon.
Pour the canned peaches in to the blender and toss the in the jalapeno, blend until the mixture becomes a thick liquid. Pour the ingredients in to a bowl, add the minced jalapeno and the chopped garlic to the bowl and stir. Add a few wings at a time to the bowl and swish them around in the mixture. Then place them in a glass baking pan or two I usually have to use two. The wings can be close and touching, but not overlapping each other. Continue until all of the wings are coated and placed in the pan.
Cover the baking pans with aluminum foil. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about an hour and 30 minutes. Remove the foil after the hour.
A couple of Super Easy Recipes
Who says you can't cheat to make good chicken wing.
Italian Wings
My favorite cheater recipe is to use Italian dressing and parmesan cheese. I use Good Seasons Italian.
Simply bake 4 pounds of wings in 2 large glass baking dishes in a 350 degree oven for one hour. Then while you are waiting mix 1 1/2 cups of your favorite bottle Italian dressing and 1/4 cup of shredded parmesan cheese together. Don't do this till towards the end of the baking. Then remove the chicken from the oven and pour the dressing and cheese mixture over the chicken you may need to stir a bit to coat all the pieces. Then place the chicken back in to the oven for another 30 minutes.
Oriental Flavored Wings
Another easy cheater wing is the Oriental Flavored Wings. You will need Marzettis Oriental salad dressing. This is found in the refrigerated section usually in the produce department and not on the regular shelves. It comes in glass jars not bottles. It tastes just like the dressing they use in Japanese steak houses. Just bake the chicken for one hour like in the Italian wing recipe. Then remove the chicken wing from the oven. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce to the dressing, pour it right in to the jar. This will add some coloring and a little extra flavor. Then put the lid back on the jar and give it a really good shake until the soy sauce is incorporated. Then simply pour the dressing over the chicken wings. Stir a little to coat if need be. Then place the chicken wings back in to the oven for another 30 minutes.
Hope you enjoy these very simple yet yummy chicken wing recipes.
