Creative and Unique Way of Using Rose Buds
A very simple, easy, and delicious chicken dish made with rose buds. This dish is great for weddings, parties or just dinner at home. If you are looking for a different way of cooking your chicken this would be a great choice.
1/2 dozen of Red Rose buds
Cup of chopped almonds( or you may substitute with other nuts of choice chopped up fine)
Garlic ( can use garlic salt, garlic powder, or fresh garlic. I used the powder)
Around 3 1/4 tablespoons of butter
A few spoonfuls of honey
2 1/2 tablespoons of cornmeal
2 1/2 tablespoons of anis
Package of chicken ( prefer breast, but may use chicken of choice)
Salt amp; pepper to taste
First clean your chicken and pat dry. Then take your rose buds place them into a blender. Turn the blender on medium speed chop up for a few minutes. Now grab your almonds, and garlic blend this well along with the rose buds. Then take your butter place in microwave just for a few seconds to melt place in blender along with your swigs of honey. Next you will add your cornmeal plus the anis. Blend this in blender for a few minutes take out mix with spoon. You should have a thick paste like texture. Make sure it's not too thin and watery or it won't work as well. Take a spoon and spread this mixture all over your cleaned chicken. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and can even sprinkle some onion powder on as well. Now place into a casserole dish cook for 30-40 until it's no longer pink. If you want the last 15 minutes, you can place a strip of bacon onto the top to give it more of a unique flavor plus more juice in the chicken. To some this may not sound too appealing, but you know what you never until you try. When I was younger I was always afraid of trying different food. If I didn't like the look of it or even the smell of it I wouldn't even give it a try, but now I get so bored with the same old dishes I'm always looking for something new. The good old saying don't knock it if you never tried it. Gosh my mom use to say this all the time. Now she has me saying this. So if you are looking to try something new this may be for you. Just remember when using any type of paste like coating on your meat, if it starts to dry up half way through add more. Never be afraid to use more sometimes that's the best solution.
