Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill Review
I live in an apartment with a teeny tiny balcony so I bought the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill and just extended the natural gas line.
First thing I noticed when I bought it was that the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill really looks attractive. It's made of stainless steel and it certainly looks good. I tried cooking a few steaks on it and I noticed immediately that it heats up really quickly and for relatively low heat, it cooks really fast. The ignitor also works great and as of yet, hasn't been giving me any problems. I also like the fact that you can hide the gas tank away from view.
Just be careful because there seems to be a lot of flare-ups when I use the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill. Be sure to keep it a low setting. Of course, this isn't ideal but there is a price to pay for convenience. You can't have everything. It also might be best to cook one steak or one chicken breast at a time. So if you cook for a big family, the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill may not be for you.
Another gripe I have with the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill is the clean-up. Oil pools into the holes at the base just below the burner and cleaning up can be tough work. It also isn't easy to remove the cooking grid and you're going to need to exert a little force. But remember, you need to do this if you want to clean the grill properly so take note that this is something you have to deal with.
I would recommend the Magma Del Mar Natural Gas Grill to those who wish to grill but lack sufficient space to do so. I'm telling you, this is a really attractive piece of cookware and it gets a lot of attention from the guests. It is best, however, not to expect too much since there seems to be a few flaws in the design. Personally, I can live with the flaws (as long as I am able to get a decent steak or a grilled hamburger) but others might not be as forgiving.
