Fourth of July Events in Triad, North Carolina
From yearly events and parades, to picnics and barbecues, there is a plethora of activities for the proud American to partake in this Independence Day.
Fun Third Block Party/Greensboro: Located downtown on the corner of Summit avenue and Summit avenue in front of Natty Greene's this jam packed event boasts eye catching entrées, coca cola, ice cold beer for mom and dad, and entertainment to help bring in the city's biggest yearly celebration. Event is 7/3/07 and is from 8:00pm to 12:30pm. Admission is $10.00
Fun Fourth/Greensboro: Parade begins at 9:30am at Bellemeade Street and Greene Street and ends at Church Street and Lindsay Street downtown. There will be prizes awarded after parade for Most Patriotic Unit and Best in Parade. Following the parade is the yearly Fun Fourth street festival. Admission is free and parking is limited.
Activities include:
* Children's Village (stilted clowns, themed crafts and games, balloons and amusement rides)
*Craftscene (Over 100 local artisans and craftsman exhibiting and selling their artwork.
*Music Stages (7 station sponsored stages with a variety of musical acts and entertainment.
*Cool Mist Tunnels (Cool off section)
*Natty Greene's Beer Garden (Site of the Fun Third block party with more ice cold beer and entertainment)
Greensboro News and Record Fireworks Spectacular/Greensboro: The Greensboro News and Record sponsors the yearly fireworks event at Grimesly High School. Gates open at 7:00pm and fireworks display begins at 9:30pm.
First Annual Independence Day Parade/Jamestown-High Point: This is an event recently organized by the residents of Jamestown to be observed annually. The parade will begin at 10:30 in front of town hall and end in front of the library on Main Street. Several of the local businesses on Main Street will open and offer tea and baked goodies.
Uncle Sam Jam 2020/High Point: Sponsored by the High Point Parks and Recreations department, WMAG 99.5, WTQR 104.1 FM, 94.5FM and 105.7KISS FM; this gala will take place from 4pm-10pm at Festival Park at Oak Hollow Lake. Vendors, music, games, and giveaways will be followed by a firework spectacular. Admission is $10.00 per car load.
Independence Day Celebration/Winston Salem: Celebrate July 3rd at Historic Bethabara Park with music, hay rides, food vendors, games and much more planned. Event begins at 3:00pm.
Torch Procession and Independence Day Celebration/Winston Salem: A reenactment at Old Salem with over 200 periodically dressed participants who reenact the first Fourth of July celebration in Salem. Call 1(888)348-5420 for event times and pricing.
Independence Day Celebration/Winston Salem-Tanglewood: Annual fireworks display held in Tanglewood Park. Gates open at 7:00pm for picnicking and the fireworks begin at 9:30pm.
