When I came across Hormel Seasoned Pork Sandwich Makers with Barbecue Sauce in the unrefrigerated dinners section of my local grocery store, I was thrilled! This item looked really good. I decided to purchase it, try it out and write a product review all about my personal experience with it. Here is what I discovered!
Hormel Seasoned Pork Sandwich Makers with Barbecue Sauce costs around three dollars. It contains two large servings of seasoned pork mixed with barbecue sauce. The container is microwave friendly. The beauty of this product is that it is very easy to prepare. It can be served on buns, on bread or even eaten alone, straight from the container. The picture of this barbecue pork, on the outside of the container, really looked great! I could not wait to taste this product!
I am a barbecue pork fan and I had high hopes for this meal. I cut a slit in the lid of the container, heated on high in my microwave for one minute and let stand for one minute before serving. I decided to serve this pork on a bun. The pork smelled great and looked pretty good. When I tasted my sandwich, I liked it. There is lots of pork and it is tender and juicy. There is also lots of tangy barbecue sauce. Maybe a bit too much. The sauce is good, but really tangy, so those with sensitive stomachs may want to be aware of that. Overall, I liked this product and think it is a good value for the money. I also think it makes a nice and easy dinner or lunch item. I rate Hormel Seasoned Pork Sandwich Makers with Barbecue Sauce four stars out of five stars and I will be buying it again. I actually got three sandwiches out of it and that was fantastic!
I discovered that this barbecue pork has chunks of meat in it, as opposed to shredded pork. I really liked that and thought it was a nice change from the usual. Delicious, creative and tangy with lots of sauce. That is a good description of this meal, in my opinion. One serving has 140 calories, but only 25 of those calories come from fat. One serving has 3 grams of total fat, 1 gram of saturated fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 40 mg's of cholesterol, 670 mg's of sodium, 14 grams of total carbs, 1 gram of dietary fiber, 10 grams of sugars and 14 grams of protein. This dish does have a small amount of iron it. I really enjoyed trying this product and writing this review about it. It is a fun and tasty winner!
